Rhapsody's third album and the third chapter in "The Emerald Sword Saga" is their heaviest effort to date. With songs like Dawn Of Victory, Dargor, Shadowlord of the Black Mountains and Holy Thunderforce Rhapsody take their instrumentation to new heights and new areas of speed. Although elaborate and sometimes downright corny this album is by far one of the most superior in all of Rhapsody's catalog. The fast arpeggio's by guitarist Luca Turilli on Triumph Of My Mage Steel to the speedy keyboard lines of Holy Thunderforce Rhapsody prove that they are an instrumental force to be reckoned with. The album tells of the story of Dargor's (one of the main characters in the emerald sword saga) battles through the middlelands with the Emerald Sword. Sound cheesy enough? Regardless of a tacky story line it does nothing to hinder the music heard here and is definitely worth the $25+ you will most likely have to pay for it. I would recommend this album to any power metal fan new or old.
Key Tracks: Dawn Of Victory, Triumph Of My Magic Steel, Dargor, Shadowlord Of The Black Mountains, Holy Thunderforce, Trolls In The Dark.
