The U.K's Dragonforce serve up nothing more than an intense and fierce debut album. Proving that they are a force to be reckoned with on the power metal scene Dragonforce have made a record which is enjoyable from start to finish. The strongest point of this album is the musicianship and harmonization shown by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman and the keybaord work of Vadim Pruzhanov. Their musicianship is best showcased on the songs Valley Of The Damned, Black Fire and Disciples of Babylon which are all high octane fast paced and full of breakneck drumming and the latter song features a jazz breakdown. The lyrical tone of the albums is typcial power metal fare with Dragons and fire and bravery and honour and all that stuff. But corny lyrics aside this is a more than fine album by Dragonforce that is definitely worth the $20+ you will most likely have to pay for it.

Key Tracks: Valley Of The Damned, Black Fire, Black Winter Night, Disciples Of Babylon.
