This is the newest album from the Scorpions. The first question has to be - what to expect after their last effort? Their previous studio effort being 1999's Eye II Eye, where the band showed a radical departure from Rock, straight into the world of Pop & Rap. IMO, a dreadful album, just what the hell was going on there!

This album, however, is a nice return to form. The Scorpions are back doing what they do best - playing rock that basically kicks ass!

The songs on this album have a Modern Rock feel to them, whilst still managing to retain the Scorpions' trademark sound. When listening to songs like "Love Em Or Leave Em" & "Deep And Dark" (just for example), if somebody didn't tell you what you were listening to, you'd still easily be able to tell that it was the Scorpions, providing that you're not some newbie who's never heard them before.

Another question that some of you may very well be thinking of asking - will I like it? Should be straightforward to answer - if you're a fan of only their 70s stuff, then don't bother. If you like their 80s stuff, then it's very possible that you will like this. If you love Crazy World, like I do, then you may love this!

As I said in the last paragraph, I love Crazy World and I also love this album. I wouldn't ever call Unbreakable my favourite Scorpions album, but it certainly would be listed somewhere up among my favourites.

If you haven't heard the Scorpions before, then by all means check this out, but it'd probably be a better idea to check out other albums first, particularly "Blackout", "Love At First Sting", "Savage Amusement" & "Crazy World". I won't mention any 70s albums, because at this point, I'm still not too familiar with their 70s work, something which I intend to fix!
