I'll say this right off the bat. This album is ONLY for big Black Sabbath fans.
Sometimes I think the only reason I got this album was because it was limited
edition and I had some extra cash to spend. Looking back at that I wish I had
bought something else. I mean, I enjoy Black Sabbath, but this album was just..
meh. It was good to hear song Black Sabbath songs I didn't hear before since
I didn't own all of their Ozzy era albums when I bought this album.
I don't like this album because the band sucks on here or the production sucks.
The band sounds good as does the production. It's just that when I listen to
this album I feel like I'd rather be doing something else. When I listen to
the studio albums they get my full attention. When I listen to this live album
I just go "meh" and think about what else I have around that I can
listen to. Hearing Ozzy say "Fuck" all the time between songs gets
boring and old very fast too. Please Ozzy, think of other words to say to the
fans! Please!
On the second of the two discs we get treated to two brand new studio tracks.
This could have been great. Black Sabbath, the original line up of Black Sabbath,
back and writing new songs! Yes! But then I heard the two songs, "Psycho
Man" and "Selling My Soul". "Selling My Soul" just
flat out sucks. But "Psycho Man" could have been saved. Yes, it could
have been saved if they cut out the first 3 minutes of the song. That crap is
something I'd hear on Ozzy's solo album, the first half of the song anyway.
The last 2 minutes sounds more like Black Sabbath but it doesn't last long and
most people probably will not hear the ending because the first 3 minutes of
the song sucks so much.
