The Ultimate Sin is a solid album that ranks up high in Ozzy's catalog though
it is often overlooked when thinking about Ozzy albums. But I believe this album
should get much more attention than it does because it is without a doubt in
his top 5 best albums. Even counting Black Sabbath.
The highlight of this album is Killer of Giants. A ballad like song (though
it only starts out that way) about war. Probably one of his best songs ever.
Every time I put on the disc I go straight to this track and sometimes play
it a few times before I even think about listening to the other songs. I'm not
saying the other songs aren't good because like I said above, the album is solid.
I just love this song so much.
Some of the other great tracks are Secret Loser with it's catchy music and,
the title track. If you've ever listened to classic rock radio then you have
no doubt heard this song. Such a killer intro riff. The other songs, while not
as great, are good songs that you won't skip over. Unless you want to skip over
them to get to Killer of Giants.
