Iron Maiden were really running on empty by the time this album came out. Adrian Smith had long left and so did most of their good riffs and solos. In comes Gers and his umm..butt shaking ability. You know you need someone on stage to wiggle ones butt while playing. Anyway, Iron Maiden were running on empty (just like they were when No Prayer came out) and Bruces voice wasn't as fresh as it once was. Neither was the song writting from any of the band. Most of the lyrics were uninspiring aswell as a lot of the guitar riffs. They were tired and needed a break from the music, and yet they didn't do that. They instead put out a subpar album and later a subpar live album. Followed up by 2 piles of shit that get passed off as live albums.
If you're new to Iron Maiden then please go buy a different album first. Picking up this album first might turn you off to the band and miss out on some of their better albums.
The only good tracks:
From Here To Eternity
Afraid To Shoot Strangers
Fear of the Dark
