Raging Stinker: Six Feet Under - Graveyard Classics, reviewed by Hussein Sherazi.

Editor's Note: What follows is the first review ever sent in by Hussein Sherazi. It appears to be a fairly good review, upon first glance. It's fatal flaw however, is that nobody seemed to tell him that this was an album full of covers and didn't contain any material that was written by the band "Six Feet Under". Thus, it earns a Raging Stinker award and gets re-submitted here into the Uncut! section.

Six Feet Under...The name tells you that this band is going to be an amazing, ear-jarring experience. The band has been around for a while and this Graveyard Classics album is a compilation of their greatest songs. The album starts off with a song called Holocaust. The singer's extremely heavy voice makes this song one of the best on the album. The beat and tune seem to all come together to make one hell of a song.
The next song is TNT, the band's most popular song. And well it should be. It has a 20 second guitar solo enough to blow anybody's brains out. The pounding bass adds to the amazing sound.

Sweet Leaf is the third song on the album. Five and a half minutes of absolute thrash. Not as good as the other two, but has an impressive drum and guitar solo.
Piranha, the deadly South American poisonous fish just like the song. This song is my favorite on the album. This is mainly because it's so fast paced and heavy that it gives all Six Feet Under critics something to think about. Six Feet Under is usually slow, heavy and loud music, but Piranha seems to go against all of this. An absolutely amazing guitar solo and fast paced screaming and drum solo gives this song a great feel.
Son Of A Bitch as the name suggests is bound to be a violent song. The chorus is "Son of a Bitch kiss my ass." The song is flooded with amazing guitar riffs and solos. The singer's screaming also makes this song absolutely amazing.

The next song is Stepping Stone. This song is pretty mediocre. I mean, the guitaring is nothing to rave about but I'm impressed by the singer's ability to scream. He'd whoop Max Cavalera's ass anyday. The song is basically him screaming and the rest of the band trying to keep up. Sounds good anyway.

Seventh track on the album is "Confused". The song sure as hell is. The singer's not sure whether he wants to go and screw his vocal chords up or wait until the song is over to do that. But the guitar solo that ends the song is just too impressive to take anything away from the band.

"California Uber Alles". What a song! This song starts off with a drum solo really damn catchy. Then it goes on with the bass joining in and finally the singer starting off. Easily my third favorite on the album after Piranha and TNT. I keep wanting to hear this song over and over again because of the change in speed in the beat.
You'll be surprised by the next song. "Smoke On The Water"! It's a cover of the old Deep Purple hit except it's done Six Feet Under style. The famous intro is done with absolutely jarring distortion and then with the singer screaming from his lead lungs.

It's amazing! They've done it in a way that Deep Purple would have never dreamed of doing it. In the middle of the song there's this guitar solo that goes on for about a minute. Mind boggling and fantastic. This song is pretty damn good.

The next song is "Blackout" with John Bush. It's a pretty violent song but it's not really that catchy. John Bush pisses the shit out of me. In the middle of a reasonably good screaming session I hear this dipshit trying to shout like a lameass. I mean he shouts differently to how the lead singer of SFU screams so it really doesn't match up. This song sucks except for the solo at the end of the song.

The last two tracks are "Purple Haze" and "In League With Satan". I didn't really appreciate them. They sound a little less heavy. Other than the guy screaming his lungs out the band sounds a bit like some lame numetal act. The only thing that convinces me that the band isn't going for that approach are the retarded guitar solos and the singer's Cavalera-like voice, except it's better. The latter song is a pretty lame one. A bit of a sad end to an absolutely amazing album. The only thing I liked about this song is the first minute or so. My God, it's fantastic. A strange noise incorporated with the singer screaming like some guy has screwed his head to a toilet seat. Other than that, the song isn't all that great. Sounds like some lameass gay shit that Marilyn Manson would take out.

Well this album is one of the best I've ever heard. The tracks are absolutely fabulous and the singing and guitar solos make this album a really good one.
It just seemed to lack some violence and lacked some moronic speed.

I give this album a 4/5.
