Interview with Womb Raiders, interviewed by Anthony Lustmord.

INTERVIEW WITH TONY, AND NICK OF WOMB RAIDERS

RM: Are you drunk right now?

WR:
Nick: Why yes I am..
Tony: I don't drink, but I have a bottle of evan williams in the freezer....explain that one?

RM:Womb Raiders has gone through some line-up changes over the course of time. Do you think the current line-up will be stable and more permanent?

WR:
Nick: I hope so. With the addition of a drummer K
Tony: Yeah I like the lineup we have, we have a drummer who just got out of prison who wants to be in the band so we will see. I'm good either way.

RM:The new album, "Torn From The Womb," comes out later this month (June). What are your expectations for it? And give us a 3 sentence review of it as a fan of the genre not as a member of the band.

WR:
Nick: I think people will either like it or hate it.
Its not your normal goreish death metal, it has sick lyrics yet they make me laugh my ass off
The music makes me want to bang my head, Rape something, or snap my fingers and drink a martinie…
Tony: Well to be serious for a moment, I hope that people listen to it and actually give it a chance. Most people have told us that the gore and rape lyrics turn them off, truth is I've changed the name of the song and let people listen to it and they loved it. So once people hear it I know they're going to like it. Of course there are some people who just don't like the style and will hate it but what are they doing buying the album to begin with? As for a review... BRUTAL.FUCKING.METAL!

RM: What’s the most embarrassing thing you listen to?

WR:
Nick: Dimmu Borgir
Tony: Well its not embarrassing in my opinion, but its not metal... I listen to a lot of ABBA. I don't think I would be the same person if I had never heard Dancing Queen.

RM:Why do so many people hate you guys? How do you feel about being hated so much?

WR:
Nick: don’t know don’t care…
Tony: Well I think it has something to do with the fact I've probably fucked their girlfreinds at one point in time. And as for the girls who hate us..they're just chicks so who really cares? Being hated isn't as bad as some might think.

RM: What do you think you'd be doing it you weren't in Womb Raiders right now?

WR:
Nick: nothing much different. lol
Tony: Your mom, your sister, your wife, and your daughter. Maybe even grams if I dont have to dig too deep to find her.

RM: Why did she make you rape her? Why do you make the music you make? And how many girls let you touch them in their special place because you have music on 97.1?

WR:
Nick: Because she was a slut. Because she liked it K. 97.1 girls have let me violate them because we have music on 97.1.
Tony: 97.1 gets me laid every night.

RM: What's the story behind Womb Raiders, how did you guys came about?

WR:
Nick: Tony and I were trying to start a band and the only thing missing was a name, we came up with wombraiders, made some crapy demos, found some other musicans and here we are.
Tony: Well what doh said for the most part but if you want the deep history of how we met and all of that here it is: We met in prison while serving time for manslaughter and rape charges. After we got out of the joint we thought what better way to piss off our victims than to make them relive the worst days of their lives again and again and again through music.

RM: Where was your album recorded? Are you happy with what you got from them? Who do you want to produce your future albums?

WR:
Nick : Fearless Studio in Socal, I like the quality (very happy) the same mother fucker that did the first JAY
Tony: I agree, Jay is talented and he will be back for the next album for sure!

RM: Do you have a message for everyone reading this interview?

WR:
Nick: Um … Have an abortion in the name of WOMB RAIDERS
Tony: now that you read this listen to us and buy our shit.

RM: What other projects are you into? (both musical and non musical)

WR:
Nick: Blood Bath, Hate Eternal, Deicide, Zyklon, Carcass, Death, Monstrosity, Carnal forge, Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Centurian and more…
Tony: Well bands I listen to are Mortician, Vesuvius, Born Without A God, Impaled, Exhumed, and Danzig. Projects I am into other than Womb Raiders include Death Rape Records, SCEM Productions, Lustmord, and Sanguinary Entertainment which is a horror/porn film company. I am also writing a few horror scripts. And I personally cannot wait for the new romero film to come out, I will be there to see that for sure!
